This course introduces you to the basic techniques of cell culture work. Most of the time, beginners in the cell culture field can only acquire the basic knowledge they need by reproducing what their colleagues do. General lab standards, which are vital for the comparability of test results, are frequently missing. This course gives you an overview over the most important aspects of cell culture and helps you to standardize crucial protocols to ensure the reliability of your results.

The theoretical part includes:

  • Sterile working techniques
  • Cell culture routine techniques
  • Cell counts and vitality stains

The practical part includes:

  • Thawing of cells
  • Subcultivation of cells
  • Freezing of cells
